A Shadows Hand

Ah, few things do I like better than having a few hours to spend in a Barnes and Noble! I went with a fellow bookworm, which always makes things more interesting. We stayed two hours, then briefly browsed other stores...B&N was much more interesting than the others.
At B&N, I read the poems: The Other Two (I would highly recommend this), The Bee Meeting, The Arrival of the Bee Box, Stings, The Swarm, and Wintering by Sylvia Plath--anything having to do with bees immediately catches my eye! Oh, and Euthanasia by Byron.
Then I went through all the Maurice Sendak books they had; my friend and I read a few of them in the children's section, how adult of us, lol. Those I read: Where the Wild Things Are (the all-time classic), Very Far Away (super cute), Chicken Soup With Rice, and The Night Kitchen (strikes me as somewhat whimsical). I guess I could just use the excuse of 'checking them out for my future children' for reading them...;-)
Also, I bought Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens and got a delicious venti toffee nut latte, and bought a skirt elsewhere. Definitely an ideal way to spend an afternoon. I love summer. But how long can it last?
